    Dear Sea-Doo® Owner,

This notice is being sent to you in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard and Transport Canada and is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Boat Safety Act and other applicable laws. ICATCH™ SYSTEM MAY NOT PROPERLY SECURED THE PERSONAL WATERCRAFT

    May 27th, 2010

Re: iCatchTM system may not properly secured the personal watercraft

    Dear Sea-Doo® Dealer / Distributor,

This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act and other applicable laws. Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) have determined that a defect exists on certain Sea-Doo ADVANCED TEC iCatch trailer models and are conducting a voluntary safety recall as specified in the attached Safety Campaign Bulletin.

    Which models are involved?

    Sea-Doo ADVANCED TECTM iCatch Trailer 2010 (T5AA, T5AC, T5AE T5AG).

    What is the potential problem?

The latching mechanism of an ADVANCED TEC Trailer (known as the iCatch) to a Sea-Doo personal watercraft ("pwc") may be misadjusted and not properly secure the front end of the pwc being transported. When this condition exists, it is possible that road oscillations cause the pwc to jump out of the iCatch hook part of the mechanism. Under those circumstances, if the rear latching straps are not used to properly secure the back end of the pwc, it may slide off the trailer increasing the risk of a crash possibly resulting in injury or death.

To confirm that your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is affected, contact your authorized Sea-Doo dealer or BRP at 1-888-272-9222 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern time 7 days a week.
